It’s that time of year again — the holidays are over and school is back in session, and just like your professors, we’re here to hit you with some knowledge! It’s no secret that education costs are rising, and students around the world are struggling to pay off their debts, just like you. It’s also no secret that college graduates earn $1 million more than high school graduates over their lifetime. Skipping college just isn’t an option.
The team at SeekingArrangement did some digging and found incredible data that explains why so many college students are turning to the Sugar Bowl. Sugar Baby University, we call it. No, we did not start our own college (yet), but we did create a place to start mutually-beneficial relationships, which are especially appealing to college students.
You may wonder why Sugaring is so attractive to college students, but it’s really not that complicated. The student debt clock in the United States is well over $1.5 trillion and ticking every day. Post-graduation, many people find that their job options right out of college cannot support their student loans or living expenses. Graduates are entering the workforce with crushing debt.
Many people turn to Sugar to experience a different style of dating, and for many of these Sugar Babies in college, it has led them to live a much more comfortable lifestyle.
Not every Sugar Daddy gifts the same, but the average monthly allowance for a Sugar Baby in college is around $2,800. Here is a breakdown of where all that money goes. As you can see, over 60 percent is spent on education alone.
Balancing your rigorous class schedule, a job and friendships can be difficult, but the Sugar Bowl doesn’t have to be! Here are some frequently asked questions from college Sugar Babies answered by your resident Sugar Experts.
How do I explain my extra income or gifts to friends, family, etc.?
“First and foremost, you do not have to explain your income to anyone if you’re not comfortable with it. If your friends are pressuring you to tell them why you’re suddenly so comfortable with money, they probably are just looking to gossip. There is nothing wrong with telling them about your Sugar Daddy, but if it is new in the arrangement or you prefer to keep things private, try not to lie or just tell them it’s not their business and they have nothing to worry about.”
I’m having trouble balancing my Sugar life and classes along with a part-time job, which should give?
“Prioritizing is key here. If your SD or SM wants more time than you can give, have a conversation with them. Honesty is always the best policy and a real SD or SM will not demand more time with you than you can give. Most of the time, you and your SD or SM will be able to come up with a compromise on balancing your time. If you realize that you are too busy to be in that arrangement, it may be best to move on to another SD or SM.
